INNOVATION AND AUTOMATION FOR THE MOULDING OF NYLON CHAINS

Giovanni Mauri, the founder of Brevetti Stendalto, has always been an enthusiast for process automation. He was intrigued by the idea that a machine could move, handle or assemble chain links, studs, and pins as required to put a chain together, and was keen to make the dream come true. At our production site for plastic injection moulding, advanced technologies, and automation have been used to create iconic cable chains with the yellow pin, which have made Brevetti Stendalto a market leader.

THE MOULDING OF NYLON CHAINS

Our factory is the place where we transform raw materials into the various components of nylon cable chains. The recipes for the various compounds have been carefully researched and refined by our lab technicians, so our chains can meet the very high-performance standards our customers require. We are extremely proud of the special mix of plastics we have developed here at Brevetti Stendalto, and it is certainly one of the secrets behind our success.

Our advanced injection presses ensure excellent performance in terms of both quality and energy efficiency.


ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND AUTOMATION

The manipulators we use with our injection presses handle the newly moulded components and assemble them into finished chains in standard one-metre lengths. Manipulators do not require any human intervention, which drastically reduces assembly time. These automated devices allow us to greatly improve our production efficiency and are one of our most effective tools in making chains. In fact, it is the manipulators themselves that assemble our products.


Thanks to manipulators we are not only able to reduce production times but can also ensure the highest precision and quality for our nylon cable chains.

Automation is at the heart of every stage of the construction of our cable chains, from moulding to packaging. Our decision to install state-of-the-art machinery and invest in specialist robotics has allowed us to make constant improvements in our production processes, and obtain excellent results in both productivity and product quality.
